Twinsburg, Ohio – Oliver Printing announces the availability of its new dieless die cutter – the Kongsberg i-XL – along with the expertise of Dick Shrimplin as its new director of structural design. With these two additions, Oliver Printing can provide clients unprecedented flexibility and productivity in providing dimensional design and marketing products.

Shrimplin joined Oliver Printing in August 2009 and brings more than 20 years of experience. A package design and project engineering specialist, Shrimplin has the expertise necessary to effectively utilize the Kongsberg’s sophisticated equipment features and software.

Using ARTIOS CAD 3D software to design packages, Shrimplin can create prototypical samples for clients -- going quickly from multiple concepts to completed projects.  Oliver Printing can email renderings in 3D so that clients can review and approve projects more efficiently.

The Kongsberg i-XL finishing table complements digitally printed signs and displays with a unique finishing solution for the widest range of materials, providing automation, high productivity and outstanding precision.

The Kongsberg i-XL features the innovative i-cut® vision system in the tool head. This camera measures actual dimensions and positions on the actual printed result. Then, finishing is adapted to the shape of the graphics. With the i-cut® vision system, contours perfectly match the printed graphics.
